How to organize a NATO summitI am at the NATO summit in Strasbourg/Kehl/Baden Baden. If any of you want to organize a summit in the future here is how: 1. Close off the whole city to traffic. For once, the inhabitants will hear there are birds living with them. 2. Give out badges to all inhabitants of a rather large zone, so that they can get home at all. 3. If you want to organize a meeting of youth with the US president, start two months in advance. Choose the best students and best English speakers. Call them at home to say they are invited to a meeting with Obama. Some will of course slam down the phone, thinking it's a joke. Visit all those who have accepted the invitation at home (just to make sure they are not suspicious). 4. For the summit itself, bring in policemen from the whole country, from Tours to Paris and Lyon. They will of course answer ”I don't know, I am not from here” to all questions. But what the hell. 5. Print out a list of all NATO heads of government for journalists. Of course some of them are not coming, because their countries are represented by presidents, but hey at least the dumb journalists will know who they are. Just a few ideas, of course you need many more. piątek, 03 kwietnia 2009, dominique
