Poland in the EU

The list of interesting candidates for this June's European Parliament election in Poland seems to be endless. Latest update: Artur Boruc, the football player, is running from the Law and Justice (PiS) list.

The news, not yet official, has been broken by "Gazeta Wyborcza" here. Boruc, who plays for Celtic Glasgow and for the Polish national team, was yesterday awarded a medal by the Polish president Lech Kaczyński and also spoke with his brother Jarosław. It seems the convesation was not only about football.

Hopefully this will cheer Boruc up after the unlucky Poland - Northern Ireland game in which he shot himself an own goal.
